What is ALLOY

In electronic components, ALLOY refers to a material manufactured by mixing various metal substances.

Alloys have better physical or chemical properties than single metals and are used in a variety of applications.

In electronic components, alloys can be used for many purposes. A few examples:

Resistive alloys: Alloys used to control changes in electrical resistance.

Because the resistance value can be precisely controlled, it is used in electronic components to regulate the current or voltage in a circuit.

Solder alloys: Alloys used for soldering in the connection or rework of electronic components.

Solder alloys have characteristics such as high melting point, excellent conductivity, resistance, and internal stress management, and play a role in increasing the reliability of electronic components.

Cobalt alloys: Alloys used as magnetic materials in electronic devices. Cobalt alloys have strong magnetic properties and corrosion resistance, so they are used to realize magnetic functions in electronic devices.

Aluminum alloys: Alloys used in electronic components to reduce weight and improve thermal conductivity.

Aluminum alloys are used in cooling plates, casings, and heat sinks to help improve thermal management and performance of electronic components.

In addition to these, many other metal alloys are used in electronic components and are selected for specific applications or requirements.

Alloys are designed to obtain desired properties by combining the properties of each metal, and play an important role in improving the function and performance of electronic components.
