What is AWG

AWG is an abbreviation for American Wire Gauge, which is a wire gauge standard.

It is the most commonly used wire size standard in the United States, and is also widely used in the field of electronic components.

AWG is made up of numbers from 0 to 40, the smaller the number the thicker the wire.

For example, AWG 20 wire is thicker than AWG 30 wire.

As wire thickness increases, electrical resistance decreases and more current can flow.

In the field of electronic components, AWG is one of the important factors when selecting wires, cables, junctions, etc.

For example, when selecting wires for a power supply in a circuit, you can ensure that the wires have sufficient ampacity and stability by choosing an appropriate AWG.

Therefore, AWG is used as an important standard for wire thickness in the field of electronic components.
