What is BUCK-BOOST


In electronics, Buck-Boost is a term used to describe a DC-DC converter circuit for power conversion.

Buck-Boost circuits have the ability to step down or boost the input voltage and are one useful form of power conversion.

Buck-Boost circuits are used to maintain the output voltage at a desired level in high or low input voltage situations.

This circuit consists of various electronic components such as inductors, diodes, switches and capacitors.

In Buck mode, the input voltage is high, which serves to reduce the output voltage.

In this mode, the input voltage is periodically cut off using a switch, and energy is stored and supplied as an output voltage through an inductor.

This allows you to lower the voltage.

In Boost mode, the input voltage is lowered to increase the output voltage.

In this mode, the energy stored in the inductor can be supplied to the output voltage using a switch, and the voltage can be increased.

Buck-Boost circuits can flexibly respond to input voltage fluctuations and are used in a variety of applications, including battery charging systems, solar inverters, and electric vehicle charging systems.

This circuit is an efficient and useful electronic component in situations where power conversion and voltage control are required.
