What is COAX


Coax, an abbreviation of Coaxial Cable, is a transmission line with two concentric electric circuits.

In other words, the concentric conductor inside and the concentric conductor outside are located at right angles to each other.

Coax is a transmission line suitable for transmitting high-frequency signals, and is mainly used for TV antennas, cable TV, and the Internet.

It can also be used in LAN configurations with optical cables.

Because Coax has high bandwidth and low signal attenuation, signals can be transmitted farther without being affected by noise and interference.

In addition, because it transmits high-frequency signals, the data transmission speed is also fast.

However, Coax has the disadvantage of being complicated in configuration and difficult to install, and its use is decreasing recently due to the emergence of new technologies such as optical cables.
