What is CONVERSION

In electronic components, Conversion means a change from one form or state to another. In electronic components, conversion refers to the process of processing an input signal or data and transforming it into an output signal or data.

Conversion in electronic components can take many forms. Some examples are:

Analog-to-digital conversion (ADC): The process of converting an analog signal into a digital signal. These conversions are used to process and store input values from analog sensors in digital form. An ADC usually samples an analog input signal, quantizes it, and converts it to a digital value.

Digital-to-Analog Conversion (DAC): The process of converting a digital signal into an analog signal. These conversions convert digital data into analog signals and deliver them to analog output devices such as speakers, displays, and amplifiers.

Frequency conversion: refers to the process of converting the frequency of an input signal. This conversion can be done in ways such as frequency modulation, frequency synthesis, and frequency division.

Voltage Conversion: Refers to the process of converting an input voltage to another voltage level. Voltage conversion is used to provide required voltage levels in power supply conditions or in various electronic circuits.

Conversion in electronic components refers to the process of processing input signals or data and converting them into other forms. These conversions are used in a variety of applications and play a key role in performing a variety of functions, including signal processing, data communication, and sensor reading.
