What is COPPER


Copper is a very important metal material in electronic parts. Copper has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and is a key material widely used in electronic circuits. Copper is used in a variety of electronic components and devices, such as wires, contacts, pads, and shields.

The main uses of copper in electronic components are:

Wires and Contacts: Copper is a popular choice for wires and contacts because of its high electrical conductivity. It plays a role in effectively passing current and transmitting electrical signals in electronic circuits.

Printed Circuit Board (PCB): Copper is used as the conductors (traces) that carry electrical signals on a PCB. Copper patterns are formed on the inner and outer layers of the PCB to enable circuit connections.

Pads and Shields: Copper is used for pads and shields in electronic components. The pad provides electrical connection between the component and the PCB, and the shield blocks external electromagnetic noise to reduce external interference affecting the circuit.

Cooling Substrate: Copper is used as the primary material for cooling substrates (heat sinks). It has excellent thermal conductivity, so it dissipates heat effectively and lowers the temperature of electronic components.

Copper is recognized as a very important material in electronic component manufacturing and electronic circuit design. It plays a major role in improving the performance and reliability of electronic components due to its excellent properties such as electrical and thermal conductivity, processability, ability to block internal and external interference.
