What is CURRENT

Electronic component current refers to the amount of current flowing in an electric circuit.

Current is one of the important elements required to transmit electrical signals or supply power in electronic components.

The magnitude of current is usually determined by voltage and resistance.

According to Ohm's law, current (I) is calculated as voltage (V) divided by resistance (R).

Therefore, as the voltage or resistance changes, the magnitude of the current also changes.

In electronic components, current mainly plays a role in:

Signal transmission: Some electronic components are responsible for transmitting electrical signals.

For example, transistors are used to amplify and transmit electrical signals.

Power Supply: Some electronic components serve to supply electrical power.

For example, voltage converters provide the proper voltages needed by other electronic components.

Protection: Some electronic components serve to provide electrical protection.

For example, fuses protect electrical equipment by detecting overcurrent.

In the design and construction of electronic components, measures must be taken to ensure that adequate current is maintained.

To do this, appropriate electronic components must be selected and placed in consideration of the size and flow path of the current.

In addition, adequate protection must be provided to prevent current overload.
