What is DUPLEXER


In electronic components, 'Duplexer' is a device used in wireless communication systems, enabling temporal or frequency separation between transmission and reception using a single antenna. In this way, transmission and reception can be performed simultaneously using the same antenna, enabling duplex communication.

In wireless communication, radio signals are sent and received using antennas to communicate. A duplexer splits the antenna into two, providing separate paths for transmit and receive. By separating the antennas in this way, it protects and isolates the high power signal generated during transmission and the weak signal received during reception from interfering with each other.

A duplexer uses a frequency filter to divide the signal coming into the antenna into transmit and receive. These separated signals are sent to the transmitter and receiver, respectively, where they are processed appropriately. A duplexer plays an important role in a wireless communication system where simultaneous transmission and reception must be performed using various frequency bands and time slots.

Duplexer is used in various wireless communication systems, and is mainly used in mobile communication (mobile phone, smart phone, etc.), wireless network (Wi-Fi), and satellite communication. As it enables effective signal separation between the antenna and the wireless communication system, it contributes to providing more efficient and reliable wireless communication.
