What is E-FRAME


In electronic components, 'E-Frame' is one of the terms used to describe the size and shape of electronic components such as resistors. E-Frame refers to miniature and subminiature versions of electronic components and is used to classify the size and shape of various resistors.

E-Frame refers to a standard size code for some components such as resistors. This code is defined according to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60063 standard and helps to consistently identify and classify resistors of various sizes and accuracies.

E-Frames are represented by various numbers such as E1, E3, E6, E12, E24, E48, E96, etc. Each E-Frame is used to define the resistance range and the preferred type of resistance value. E-Frames with higher numbers contain more resistance values and have greater precision.

For example, the E12 E-Frame includes 12 preferred resistor values, each of which belongs to a series of resistor values:

10, 12, 15, 18, 22, 27, 33, 39, 47, 56, 68, 82

In this way, E-Frame standardizes various types of components such as resistors, making it easier for manufacturers and users to select and use. E-Frame is one of the most popular methods in the electronic parts market and provides an efficient way to manage parts of various sizes and precision.
