What is EMC

In electronic components, 'EMC' is used as an abbreviation for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). EMC represents a technology or concept that ensures that electronic devices and systems operate without electromagnetic interference with each other and do not have unnecessary electromagnetic effects on the surrounding environment.

Electromagnetic wave combinations play an important role in minimizing electromagnetic interference that occurs when various electronic components and devices coexist in the same environment. When different electronic devices or systems emit electromagnetic waves or receive electromagnetic signals, EMC technology and regulations are required to ensure stable operation without interfering with each other.

In general, EMC is divided into two main aspects:

Emission: When an electronic device or system emits electromagnetic waves. To minimize interference from other devices, electromagnetic waves must be controlled using appropriate shielding, filtering, and other techniques.

Immunity: An electronic device or system must be immune to electromagnetic interference from the environment. EMC focuses on testing and improving a device's ability to withstand other electromagnetic signals.

EMC has a great influence on the safety, reliability and performance of electronic devices, and electromagnetic interference is becoming more important, especially with the development of information and communication technology. Therefore, EMC regulations and testing are important issues for manufacturers of electronic components and devices, and must be taken into account during product development.
