What is EMI

EMI stands for Electromagnetic Interference and refers to interference between electromagnetic fields generated by electronic components.

In electronic components, EMI refers to a phenomenon in which a device or circuit generating an electromagnetic field affects other devices or circuits.

This interference can degrade the performance of electronic components and cause noise or noise.

For example, if a radio receiver is noisy, it may be caused by EMI from another device.

Proper filtering and shielding are required to prevent EMI from electronic components.

An EMI filter serves to remove or reduce noise or noise generated by a circuit.

Shielding serves to prevent electromagnetic fields from leaking to the outside. To this end, methods such as shielding films and shielding plating are used in electronic components.

Since EMI in electronic components can degrade the performance of electronic components and cause noise, research and technological improvement on EMI prevention are continuously being conducted.
