What is HEATSINK


Heatsink is a device that efficiently absorbs and disperses heat generated from electronic components or devices. Heatsinks are typically made of metal that conducts heat effectively, often aluminum or copper.

When electronic components operate, the heat generated is quickly absorbed through the heat sink, and due to the large surface area of the heat sink, it is quickly dissipated by exchanging heat with the surrounding air. This prevents electronic components from overheating and helps them operate reliably.

Heatsinks are primarily used in central processing units (CPUs), graphics processing units (GPUs), power converters, and other heat-generating electronic components. In particular, heat sinks are one of the important components in high-performance computers, graphics cards, servers, and other electronic devices. Heatsinks help electronic components operate reliably and optimize performance, and play an important role in preventing overheating problems and extending the life of the device.
