What is OCTAL


In electronic components, octal usually refers to components with eight output or input pins.

Octal is related to octa- meaning eight.

One of the commonly used octal components in electronic components is the octal flip-flop.

It has 8 input pins and 8 output pins, with each input pin connected one-to-one with each output pin.

This part can be used to store multiple bits of data.

Octal parts are also useful for reducing the number of pins connected to other parts.

For example, an octal buffer has 8 input pins and 8 output pins and is used to control multiple components.

These parts are used in complex systems such as computer memory or processors.
