What is PEG

PEG is an abbreviation for Polyethylene glycol, which is a chemically stable and versatile high molecular compound.

In electronic components, PEG is commonly used to remove or control electrolytes that may be present.

PEG serves to remove or dilute the electrolyte to prevent electrolyte-induced corrosion and affect electrical performance.

Because PEG has high surface tension, it can also be used to remove contaminants from the surface of electronic components.

PEG is also used in various plating processes applied in electronic components.

For example, PEG can be used to prevent and promote corrosion prior to treatment of metal surfaces.

The use of PEG in electronic components provides benefits such as preventing damage by electrolytes and corrosion and improving electrical performance.
