What is PRESSURE

In electronic components, pressure is one of the physical variables detected through various sensors.

A pressure sensor detects the magnitude and direction of pressure and converts it into an electrical signal.

Examples of pressure detection in electronic parts are as follows.

Pressure sensor: A pressure sensor is a sensor that measures the amount of pressure and outputs it as an electrical signal.

These sensors are used in many applications.

For example, a sensor that measures tire pressure in a car, or a sensor that measures a patient's blood pressure in medical equipment.

Switch: There is a circuit that uses pressure to actuate a switch.

This circuit serves to switch on or off when pressure is applied. Such circuits are often used, for example, in button switches and touch pads.

Diaphragm: A diaphragm is a membrane that deforms when pressure is applied, and is responsible for detecting sound waves in sound equipment and microphones.

At this time, the magnitude of the pressure is converted to the magnitude of the vibration of the diaphragm and output as an electrical signal.

In this way, pressure is used in a variety of applications in electronic components, where it is sensed and handled through a variety of circuits and technologies.
