What is REVERSE


Reverse는 전자부품에서 역방향 또는 반대 방향을 의미합니다. 일반적으로 반도체 소자에서 사용됩니다.

반도체 소자의 경우, 일정한 방향으로만 전류가 흐를 수 있습니다.

예를 들어, 다이오드의 경우, 전류가 양 방향으로 흐를 수 없으며, 양극과 음극이 정해져 있습니다.

그러나 때로는, 전류의 흐름 방향을 바꿔야 하는 경우가 있습니다.

이때, 전자부품에서는 Reverse를 사용하여 소자의 전류 방향을 바꿉니다.

또한, 반도체 소자에서는 Reverse Bias와 Forward Bias라는 용어도 사용됩니다.

Forward Bias는 소자의 전류 방향이 정상적인 방향인 경우를 의미하며, Reverse Bias는 소자의 전류 방향이 역방향인 경우를 의미합니다.

Reverse Bias의 경우, 소자의 전류가 차단되는 특성을 이용하여 다양한 전자 부품을 만들 수 있습니다.

예를 들어, 전자 부품에서는 Zener 다이오드나 Varactor 다이오드 등이 Reverse Bias 특성을 이용하여 만들어집니다.
